Airport transfer

Arlanda Express shuttle train (tel: +46 8 58 88 90 00) takes 20 minutes from Arlanda Airport to Central Station in downtown Stockholm. Tickets cost SEK 180 (single) or SEK 320 (return). Airport Coaches (tel: +46 8 600 10 00), which take you the center of Stockholm in 40 minutes, cost SEK 89. As to taxis, Taxi Stockholm (+46 8 15 00 00) has a fixed price from (SEK 390) and to (SEK 475) Arlanda Airport, as does Taxi Kurir (+46 8 30 00 00) - SEK 395/SEK 465.

Public transport

Bus and subway fares in Stockholm are based on a zone system. Tickets can be purchased individually but you save money by buying a 24- or 72-hour pass (SEK 80 or SEK 150). Taxis

There are numerous cab companies operating in Stockholm. Two of the biggest and most reliable are Taxi Stockholm (+46 8 15 00 00) and Taxi Kurir (+46 8 30 00 00).

Tipping

Tips are always included in bills, both in restaurants and taxis, but adding 10 percent is not uncommon if you are satisfied with the service.
